Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 2018
Every September some 40,000 volunteers across England organise 5,000 events to celebrate our fantastic history and culture during the Heritage Open Days weekend. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – all of which are FREE to explore.
There are ten wonderful sites open in Dover, with six of them on the Dover Bluebird Heritage Walking Trail. Details and opening hours are below to help you plan your tour.
As well as visits, Dover Museum is hosting a Family Day on Saturday from 10.30am to 3pm and if you drop in to Dover Town Hall/Maison Dieu between 10.30am and 2pm on Saturday you can help create a pop-art Dover Heritage canvas.
If you want to travel further afield then visit the Heritage Open Days website for details of sites throughout the country. Places in London are open on 22nd & 23rd September during Open House London
